We have to (re)develop the unique intelligence of managers

Management sciences developed in the 60’s until, as Michel Berry puts it, they became “for the decision-maker what ballistics is to the gunner, a foolproof method that allows hitting the bull’s eye each time”. Today, we must go beyond the myth of universal, reproducible methods, suitable in every situation, and that one can simply apply like a template, ignoring all the peculiarities of the company, its organization, its employees.
